Volunteers needed in UK Scout Activity Centers

The UK Scout Activity Centres are looking to recruit up to 20 Volunteer Activity Instructors and Guest Service Assistants to join their international teams across the UK for 8 months from March 2015 – October 2015,

The volunteers deliver a variety of activity sessions – including climbing, kayaking, archery, team building and camp craft – to the groups visiting the centers throughout the year. They also have the chance to live and work with volunteers from over 30 countries, achieve recognized qualifications, and gain experience at a busy outdoor activity center. The Guest Service Assistants help with the running the Training and Events center.

Eight month  placements available and all training, accommodation, food, uniform and weekly expenses (up to £45) are covered by the UK Scout Association. Flights and medical insurance are at your own expense. They don’t ask for specific qualifications or experience; just plenty of energy and enthusiasm, a passion for creating safe and exciting experiences for young people, and a willingness to be outdoors whatever  the weather!

Requirements to apply are:
All Scouts and Rovers aged between 17-29 who speak English to a good standard.
