With one more week to go till Akela 2016 and the excitement is in the air! We spoke to Melokuhle Ngcobo (9) from 1st Sithandiwe Cub Pack in KwaZulu-Natal about the Ubuntu spirit of Cubbing and why it Rocks!

Cubbing is so much fun because every time when we meet, we learn more!

SSA: What is the weirdest thing you ate outdoors?
I ate Bush verde, which is a plant.

SSA: What was the most amazing place you visited with Cubs?
Hammarsdale was the most amazing place I visited with Cubs.

SSA: Can you name a few things you have learnt by being a Cub?
I have learnt to respect other people.

SSA: What things have you done with Cubs to help people in your community?
We gave food and clothes to orphans.

SSA: What did you teach your mum that you learned at Cubs?
I taught my mum how to do gardening.

SSA: What makes a good Akela?
A good Akela makes her Cubs happy.

SSA: Why is your Akela special?
My Akela is special because she is always happy!
