After 100 years of Cubbing we are still going strong! Our Cubs are truly enjoying their Cubbing Adventure. We spoke to KatlegoTlotleng (10) from 5th Ikageng Cub Pack in the North West.
SSA: Why is Cubbing so much fun?
Cubing is fun because it’s a place where we can meet with our friends and have fun with them.
SSA: What was your best experience with Cubs?
The best experience was when we went to the cinema as it was my first time going to a cinema with my friends.
SSA: What is the weirdest thing you ate outdoors?
Marshmallows at the camp fire was the weirdest thing I ate outdoors.
SSA: What was the toughest challenge at Cubs?
As a duty Sixer, my toughest challenge is when I have to teach the new Cubs in my Six the Promise and Laws because it is difficult to get their attention. They underestimate me.
SSA: What was the most amazing place you visited with Cubs?
The most amazing place that we visited was the cinema, we really had a good time.
SSA: Can you name a few things you have learnt by being a Cub?
By being a Cub I have learnt to respect my parents and my peers.
SSA: What did you teach your mum that you learned at Cubs?
I once taught my mom the Cub prayer.
SSA: What makes a good Akela?
Being very playful and energetic is what makes a good Akela.
SSA: Why is your Akela special?
Our Akela is special because she takes us to places we have never been before, like the cinema.
Cubbing Rocks because … there is so much to learn!
