Today, we honour you – our volunteers – who use your volunteer-time purposefully to shape a brighter future for all. Thank you for all you bring to SCOUTS South Africa. Your skills and resources, your advice and vision, your experience, friendship, leadership, and time.

Time .. one of our most precious resources as human beings. Every hour you give to Scouting and to bettering the lives of children, is a gift towards growing the Scout Movement in South Africa and to shaping a better world for our current and future generations.

I acknowledge the time you give as a SCOUTS SA volunteer. Choosing to share your most valuable resource with us is admirable and I assure you that it is seen and appreciated. Not only by the children, families and volunteers you serve within your Scout Groups and Districts, but also by the National volunteer and staff teams.

So today, I am taking a little time to thank you for the amazing “time” that you give our young people. Thanks for the memories, the laughs, the hikes, camps and life lessons! Thanks for your time!
