Chief Scout Khonzaphi Mdaka has confirmed the appointment of Gary Pienaar as the Head of Contingent for the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027!

As Head of Contingent Gary will be overseeing the preparation and participation of SCOUTS South Africa’s delegation at the Jamboree. He will coordinate a team of dedicated volunteers who will ensure that all logistical, administrative, and financial aspects are managed effectively, and that the well-being and safety of our contingent members can be ensured throughout their journey to Poland.

In previous years Gary served as the Deputy Head of our South African Scout Contingent, and as such, has ample experience in not only leading a project of this size, but also ensuring that this adventure will be one filled with fun and personal enrichment. Attending a World Scout Jamboree as a Scout is a once in a life-time experience and we are grateful to Gary for his ongoing dedication towards young people and ensuring that they get to have life-changing and unforgettable experiences.
