So you are brave and adventurous and are keen to join the SCOUTS South Africa Contingent to the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland from 30 July to 8 August 2027. Here’s everything you would need to know!

When?
The 26th WSJ Contingent Management Team are busy planning our participation and a pre-tour or post-tour is being investigated so dates will be finalised based on Expressions of Interest. But the dates will evolve around the Jamboree dates 30 July – 8 August 2027.
Estimated cost:
The estimated cost is : R70 000. The final cost will be shared once we have more clarity on number of SA Contingent members and the pre or post tour.
Who can join?
Youth – Scouts:
- Born between 15 August 2009 and 15 July 2013.
- Be an active member of an SD registered SCOUTS SA Scout Troop .
- Be recommended by your Court of Honour
- Hold Discoverer badge before leaving South Africa.
Youth – Guides:
- Born between 15 August 2009 and 15 July 2013.
- Must be an active member of Girl Guides SA for a minimum of two years.
- Should have attained at least a Guide Challenge badge or equivalent before leaving South Africa.
- Holds or has held a leadership role (e.g., Patrol Leader, Company Leader, or Young Leader)
- Has shown initiative in planning and leading activities or service projects.
- Has a basic understanding of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS)
- Has completed a service project benefiting their community, school, or local Guiding unit.
Adults – Rovers / Scouters:
- Hold compliant registration on Scouts Digital
- Is an active member of a Scout Group
- Is 18+ as of 15 July 2027
