Design a logo for the 2nd Africa Rover Moot and WhatsApp it to the National SCOUTS SA number 068 069 9463
We are looking for fresh and vibrant designs aligned to theme “Phezulu Nangaphezulu”. The theme is derived from both the isiZulu and isiXhosa languages and means “Higher & Higher”!
Young people have unlimited potential and we are looking forward to unleashing the potential of Rovers from around the world as they get a unique “Mzanzi experience” that combines adventure with a true sense of common understanding, harmony and skills waiting to be discovered.
To be considered your logo needs to fulfill the following specs:
- The call for designs is open to all creative minds and designers who are willing to volunteer their time. and skills. Parental consent is required for entries from children/youth under 18.
- All submitted entries must be an original idea (no elements may be plagiarised – all elements need to be free to use for commercial use). Participants will take full responsibility if breach of copyright occurs.
- Furthermore, as the creator of the artwork, you agree to forfeit all copyright, right, interest and title to the design in favour of SCOUTS SA, which may use the design free of charge and as required.
- The design should be able to fit onto a badge no larger than 7,5cm x 7,5cm in size, and can be round, square, rectangle, etc…
- The design should not include more than 5 colours.
- The designer of the selected artwork agrees to have photographs taken of them / or parental permission will be given, for the purposes of marketing the logo design on SCOUTS SA websites, social media and all other Scouting related platforms and publications;
- Designs must be entered as pdf, jpeg or png and Whatsapped to 068 069 9463 no later than 9 August 2024. High Res versions of the logo designs will be required once selected as the final logo.
- Entries must also include the following information: name, age, telephone number, email address. If under 18 of age, a permission to enter must be submitted by the parent / legal guardian which clearly states that they accept the requirements on behalf of the participant and have allowed them to enter.
- The decision of the 2nd Africa Rover Moot Team (in consultation with the Marketing Team) is final and can’t be appealed. The designer will be contacted directly and notice thereof posted on scouts.org.za
